An excellent preschool program can give children long-term benefits that follow them into adulthood. That’s what one study found when researchers tracked children through high school and beyond. In this important study, data revealed that children in an excellent part-day preschool program had less need for special education, less grade retention, and significantly higher high school graduation rates than children who did not attend a good preschool.—National Research Foundation

2012-2013 Preschool Registration Information

Registration for Giggles-n-Grins Preschool, will open for the 2012-2013 school year, in April 2012.

CLASS SIZE/STUDENTS:
My class limit is 8 students. Students must be potty-trained, and at least 3 years old. Children ages 3-4 will be in the same class. However, children will be able to work and progress on their level.
I have a 2 year curriculum, so students could attend for the 2 years prior to kindergarten, if desired.

CURRICULUM/TEACHER
I teach what is called a spiral curriculum. In other words, the two years will not be identical. Subject matter may be repeated, and built upon from the previous year of learning. Curriculum is based on the Arizona State Curriculum for preschool. The teaching methods are based on standards set by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

This is NOT a daycare. This is an academically run preschool with a certified teacher. I have over 12 years experience, and am currently certified. I also carry a current Arizona Fingerprint Card. I have the equivalent of a Master's Degree, and continue to take classes to stay current in the education field. I have extensive experience and training in teaching reading and writing to young children.

TIMES/DATES
For 2012-2013, preschool will be held Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00-11:30.  Preschool will start the day after Labor Day, in September 2012. We will closely follow the local school district calendar-with minor changes, depending on what the vacation time looks like.
There will be 3-5 field trips a year, and those will be held on Fridays. Advance notice will be given for each one. Parents are required to attend.

TUITION/FEES
Tuition will be $95 a month. To hold your spot, a registration and materials fee of $60 will be due, along with a Parent Agreement and Registration Form. Other paperwork will be sent before preschool starts. The registration fee includes not only the basics- crayons, paper, glue, and other materials, but also photos, food & science activities, cleaning supplies, and a year end DVD.
