Easter and Spring Preschool Activities

Here are just a few of the things we did for Spring and Easter. To practice our alphabet, we matched eggs with capital and lowercase letters, and also found the letter on a matching ABC tile and added it to the inside of the egg. (centers)

We sorted "spring things" using small erasers, tweezers, and a muffin. (centers)

We used egg chalks to practice writing on our chalkboards.

Spring painting- this was really fun. I showed the kids how to make grass and flowers and they did an incredible job doing just that! Some of them added raindrops, a sun, and clouds too.

Making rain in a jar is always one of my favorite activities! The kids were fascinated by this science experiment.

For our Easter Party, we made cereal bird nests- these are always fun to do in the springtime!

I gave them a cute little treat, with a pencil and notebook,etc. inside.

Using a milk jug, we created these cute bunny baskets. Then we gathered eggs in a small Easter egg hunt.

We made egg-sticker collages. I love seeing their own use of color and pattern in these.

We kept the snack/treat simple this year- just a cupcake with some jelly beans for them to decorate with!

I love these kids- we have so much fun and I love seeing them be creative and learn so many fun things!

My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Sharla in 2013 when I was searching out

an in-home preschool in the Sahuarita area for my son, who had just turned 3. She met

with us in her home and she allowed us to interview her. Her home was so warm and

welcoming and the preschool area was perfect. She met all of our standards and more. I

had looked into other in-home preschools prior to meeting Sharla, and was never satisfied

with either no certified teaching experience or the sincerity of an actual preschool.

My son is now 5 and ready for Kindergarten. Thanks to Sharla, he recognizes all letters

and numbers and has the best social skills a 5-year- old can have.

My 3-year- old daughter also started school this year with her big brother. She was very

attached to me. I was worried she wouldn’t adjust as well as my son did when he was 3

and starting preschool. Not once has my daughter refuse going to school. She loves it!

She is learning so much and looks forward to school days. I feel Sharla has been a huge

part of bringing out the social side of her. Both of my children adore Sharla!!!

I am impressed with Sharla’s organization, compassion, positive attitude, passion for

teaching and trustworthiness . I feel like Sharla and her students work as a family,

nothing but kindness and love for one another. Sharla lets the parents know exactly what

the students will be learning each week. Her lesson plans are very clear and engaging to

the children.

Sharla has not only been a preschool teacher to my children, she has become a true friend

to my family. I highly recommend her preschool!

Giggles-n-Grins Preschool is absolutely amazing. My son not only learned his ABCs, but he learned how to behave in a classroom setting as well. Sharla creates a perfect balance between the structure that preschoolers need and the fun, exciting learning that they crave. Her approach to teaching them keeps interested and wanting to come back. She promotes a great environment for them to ask questions and then discover the answers. They get the chance to succeed in things like writing their names and cutting out shapes, giving them self-confidence and the courage to try harder things. After checking into other preschools in the area, I knew this was the perfect fit for my son. He was more than ready for kindergarten after attending preschool with Miss Sharla for a year and continues to succeed. I know the foundation that he received from Sharla has set him up for a great educational experience as he grows up!

I have sent two children to Miss Sharla at Giggles n' Grins preschool and am so glad I did. My children, even my more introverted one, came out of the door with a smile every day. There is always something fun and artistic being done during the day and my kids were always very proud of their work. I was so impressed by how much they learned from beginning to end. I feel confident sending my children to Kindergarten having had a solid learning background. I couldn't have asked for a better first experience of school for my children.
